Yet another big collaboration project! Each year the Staff at Swansea’s Renal Unit in Morriston Hospital go all out to run an awareness day at a different school. This year the chosen school is St Michael’s School in Llanelli. Morriston Renal Unit Staff will deliver 8 different stalls to the school. These include: Transplantation Haemodialysis Peritoneal Dialysis Renal Pharmacy Renal Dietetics Renal Physiotherapy Local charity stands – Paul Popham Fund and Princess Gate (Water Company). As well as a free World Kidney Day Merchandise Stall funded by Morriston Renal Unit. All stations are interactive and provide students with valuable information to look after their health the future, as well as providing an informative view about how Renal Teams operate in the hospital. This truly is a collaborative approach with local schools aiming to spread awareness throughout the city each year. Associated websites: https://www.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/863/home
