An interview format with audience participation was used. Questions about people’s knowledge of the disease, how to detect it, methods of treatment and prevention were taken from surveys conducted in the community.
The interview was broadcast on the radio station ONDAS CAÑARIS 95.3 which has a large audience, not only in the city of Cuenca, but also in other localities of the Province of Azuay, Ecuador.
