WORLD KIDNEY DAY 2014
World Kidney Day 2014 was celebrated by Deccan institute of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation on 13 th March .
There was very good participation by the patients. The theme of the function was to create an awareness on Kidney diseases, treatment modalities, including renal replacement therapies , prevention of disease and delaying progression of disease. A quiz program was conducted for the patients with an initial written screening round and later seven finalists were called on to the stage for oral round of contest. There was immense enthusiasm amongst the patients and every participant became wiser at the end of the program. Prizes were given to the winners. Consultant Nephrologists spoke one various aspects.
Several dances were performed by the staff nurses as entertainment for the patients.
The program on the whole was a very pleasurable one.
