World Kidney day 2020 – UVA
Being an area heavily affected by chronic kidney disease, Nephrology and Dialysis units in Uva province, Sri Lanka are planning to conduct number of activities in parallel with world kidney day (12th March 2020) in view increasing chronic kidney disease awareness in general public and health care staff. Uva province is one of the poorest and least educated provinces of Sri lanka. CKDu is also heavily prevalent in area like Mahiyangana and Monaragala.
