World kidney day awareness programme was conducted on 10/03/2022. The programme was conducted for the patients and their attenders at the Hospital OPD corridor (Bhaarat Medical college, BIHER university, chennai). The programme was conducted in collaboration with department of general medicine and department of Nephrology. Awareness about the risk factors of kidney disease, importance of kidneys, signs and symptoms of kidney diseases, prevention, screening of kidney disease and treatment of kidney disease was given by Dr. venkateswarlu, A brief talk about stages of kidney disease, regular monitoring of kidney functions, Dialysis and kidney transplantation was given by Dr.Venkatesh. Programme was ended by making the audience to take a pledge by Dr.Anugraha J, Senior Resident, Community Medicine, to ensure their kidney health with. All the audience took an active part in the awareness programme on a positive note.
