Nephrology Department Hospital Kuala Lumpur will be launching our first AKI workshop (PREVENT AKI) for healthcare workers. This workshop aims to educate and empower AKI managements among health care workers to PREVENT AKI especially in-hospital AKI. This workshop will be followed by another CKD workshop aiming to educate healthcare workers esp in our regional healthcare clinics emphasizing on CKD retardations. This is in conjunction with the WKD 2020 theme – from Prevention to Detection and Equitable access to care.
We will also have a 2-day-public-exhibition (5th-6th March 2020) in the hospital lobby to raise public awareness on kidney disease. This will include information stand on kidney care; drugs and diets in kidney disease; and organ donation drive by the National Transplant Resource Centre. The Pharmacists and Dieticians will be available for members of the public who are interested to know more about healthy diet and drugs especially for kidney patients.
