World Kidney Day 2024 Celebration

World Kidney Day 2024 was celebrated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) on Thursday (March 14, 2024). The Department of Nephrology, AIIMS Bilaspur, and the Society for Kidney Care jointly organized the event. Dr. Sanjay Vikrant, Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology, talked about this year’s theme: “Kidney Health for All—Advancing Equitable Access to Care and Optimal Medication Practice.”

On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar, Medical Superintendent, AIIMS Bilaspur, was the Chief Guest. The faculty and residents, nursing, and paramedical staff attended the event. MBBS students 2023 batch enacted a play to increase awareness of the importance of kidneys to our health among people with kidney disease and the general public. A poster competition was organized for the students of B.Sc. Dialysis Therapy Technology.
