This year Kidney Foundation has organized a seminar in capital city Dhaka which was attended by number of dignitaries and physicians and had a significant impact in general population. This seminar was broadcasted by different renowned television channels of Bangladesh e.g., BTV, Jamuna TV, DBC News, NTV channel. Kidney Foundation has also organized similar seminar in a rural setting of Bonogram, Pabna including healthcare professionals and general people. Prof. Harun Ur Rashid, Chairman and Founder of Kidney Foundation wrote an article in Bengali for general people on different aspects of Kidney health, which was published in a national newspaper on 10th march, 2023.All participants were wearing masks, cap and special T-shirt with WKD logo following all precautionary measures. Leaflets on “Kidney Health for All- Preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable were distributed. Early in the morning they brought out a colorful Rally with eminent physicians and nurses in the capital city. Honorable Deputy Speaker, Shamsul Haque Tuku, Government of Bangladesh, was present as Chief guest of this seminar and gave his valuable speech focusing on the theme of WKD,2023 and received crest from Prof. Harun Ur Rashid, President Kidney Foundation Bangladesh.
In order to create awareness Kidney Foundation, Bangladesh participated in one of the biggest Book Fair in Gulshan Society, Dhaka and Conducted free screening program for Kidney, Hypertension and Diabetes.
▪ To mark the Day Kidney Awareness Monitoring & Prevention Society (KAMPS) organized a round table on 4th March, 2023, titled ” Kidney patients are at higher risk of unexpected disasters” where Prof Harun Ur Rashid, President of Kidney Foundation gave his remark.
