World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on the second Thursday of March. It is a global awareness campaign that aims at increasing awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our health and reduce the impact of kidney disease and its associated problems.
This year’s theme of “Kidneys and Obesity”, Zamboanga Doctors Hospital, Inc.’ The Center of Preventive Medicine and Wellness gathered our esteemed clients and joined them in our advocacy and commitment in the continuing campaign for a healthier community in Zamboanga City. A free kidney screening was provided;, a video presentation and talk on general ways to protect our kidneys and kidney disease prevention by our own Dr. Margarita Abalon and lastly Zumba dance session was organized as to emphasize this years celebration to keep fit and active. #move4kidneys.
