St Georges Kidney Patients Association and KPA and Renal Unit Staff will be holding a health promotion awareness day down in the Grosvenor wing foyer from 9 am. As well as offering BP checks the team will be weighing and measuring people – staff and public ! to calculate BMIs and offer advice etc. There will be a cake sale and other items on sale. The KPA are organising the cake sale but would welcome any donations to sell although they must be boxed/wrapped. All are welcome to take part in the ‘spinathon’. We are going to take it in turns to ride a stationary bike and see how far we get ! We will also have on display a cycle apparatus for patients to use on HD which we will have on loan from Wednesday. Jacqueline Wilson has kindly donated a signed copy of one of her books for us to raffle.
