Camp to screen elderly diabetics for hypertension, kidney and eye disease at the Hennagara village. This will be done by checking blood pressures, testing the urine for minute amounts of albumin (microalbuminuria) to identify diabetic nephropathy and also taking pictures of the eye (retina) for diabetic retinopathy.
The diabetics identified to have hypertension; diabetic nephropathy with or without kidney failure or diabetic retinopathy will then be followed up at Narayana Hrudayalaya or Narayana Nethralaya.
