There has not been the society of nephrology in Laos. Prof. Hyodo is the secretary general, NGO Ubiquitous Blood Purification International UBPI), Japan. NGO UBPI supported to establish Cambodian Association of Nephrology in 2016 and Ho Chi Minh City Society of Dialysis Therapy in 2015. The Laos Society of Nephrology is now being to be established in 2018. The National Nephrology Meeting to establish the Lao Society of Nephrology/World Kidney Day Event 2018 in Laos will be held on March 24th 2018. At the same time, we are planning the first WKD event in Laos. The 4 Japanese speakers of NGO UBPI and one professor from Thailand will present the lectures of the CKD treatment and preventions to about 80 dialysis related professionals.
