World kidney day, 2019 is being celebrated for the first time in Maputo, Mozambique. The Pediatric nephrology team along with the Adult nephrology teams have joined hands together to create awareness about the renal problems existing here and globally around the world. An event organized wherein the hospital staff including the General director of the hospital, colleagues, the patients and their families will be participating.
Some talks raising awareness to the existence, recognition of the alarming signs and measures for prevention of renal diseases will be given and discussed. Also the patients will share their successful treatment experiences and their encountered difficulties will be discussed.
The hospital’s music group will also participate to enlighten the event. Finally there will be cake cutting ceremony both for the adult patients and the children.
