An outdoor health clinic of residents of the Dennery community; a rural predominantly agricultural community on the east coast of Saint Lucia. The clinic will be taking place within the heart of this community on a Saturday, which improves convenience in accessing the health services being offered. This will serve as an opportunity to heighten public awareness of the risks for kidney disease and improve existing levels of health literacy.
Given the high levels of social agency amongst the community leaders within this community, these leaders will be driving the mobilization effort to encourage individuals who do not readily adopt a proactive approach to health to visit this clinic. It is expected that this will serve as a conduit to bridge individuals into mainstream health care services.
