we are going to target a community in a rural setting and hold an awareness program at Nursing Station. Dialysis here in Fiji is very expensive, thus our aim is to focus on primary prevention of CKD and ESKD. Hence awareness is a perfect way to promote kidney health. Also we want to identify and screen people for CKD who are at risk using the checklist provided in the world kidney day website.
we will be distributing pamphlets in town mall during the day time and encourage people to drink more water.
we will declare water day in our hospital for all staff to increase water intake.
