This year World Kidney Day continues to raise awareness of the increasing burden of kidney diseases worldwide and to strive for kidney health for everyone, everywhere. Specifically, the 2020 campaign highlights the importance of preventive interventions to avert the onset and progression of kidney disease. AstraZeneca is a global pharmaceutical industry that is developing innovative new medicines to patients. We are doing active research and development in kidney disease, to treat primary-, secondary- as well as tertiary prevention. We have a life stream internal event to raise awareness about kidney patients; putting the patient perspectives in focus.
A live presentation and discussion between a physician and patient from Addenbrookes Hospital will also be held.
