On the occasion of World Kidney Day-2016, the Departments of Nephrology AIIMS New Delhi organized a comprehensive three day programme. On the evening of 9th March, “public lectures” by experts. About 800 participated. Questions answer session lasted for more their one hour. In the morning of 10th March, session ‘Keeping Kidneys Healthy’ Do’s and Don’ts’ was done, for school and college students and teachers, a total of about 950 participants. Everyone was wearing “yellow caps” provided by organizer depicting the message of the World Kidney Day. Prizes were awarded to the talented winners. An exhibition on kidney diseases and its prevention was organized during tea-break. In the afternoon of 10th March, a CME was organized for doctors. On 11th March sessions were for “students in various nursing colleges”, about 560 nursing students. Certificates of participation and WKD mementoes were distributed to all.
