As part of our activities to mark the world kidney day, a one day free health screening and public education was held in the Bohyen community. A densely populated peri urban community within the Bamtama Sub Metro, this community forms part of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
The event is part of the several other activities undertaken by the KHI to mark the month-long activities which continue throughout the year.
The event which lasted for six (6) hours saw us screening 250 people. The screening comprised, checking of blood pressure, blood sugar, urine test and body mass index.
