A whopping 1 in 10 people have Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), a non-communicable disease that requires lifelong care.
Fortunately, kidney disease can be prevented and progression to end-stage kidney disease can be delayed.
This year, we’re using World Kidney Day to raise awareness of the prevalence of CKD, and to provide people an opportunity to get screened for CKD risks.
Come along to the main hospital reception where we’ll have information on CKD, dialysis and taking care of your kidneys; and nurses on hand to check your blood pressure and blood glucose – two key indicators of kidney health.
