The highlight of WKD 2014 celebration is the “World Kidney Day Dance Marathon 2014” which will be held on 16th March 2014 at One Utama Shopping Center, Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. The dance marathon will be led by dancers from the famous “Celebrity Fitness” gymnasium and together all will be dancing from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm in the concourse of the shopping centre. Lucky draws will be held and every participant will be eligible for the lucky prizes. There will be no winners for this event. The event is to encourage the public to exercise, raise funds as well as to create awareness and educate the public on kidney disease. Members of the public are encouraged to come forward to exercise through dancing for a good cause – to raise funds for poor kidney failure patients under the care of NKF. Other activities have been lined up including health screening, exhibitions, coloring contest and cooking demonstration featuring kidney friendly recipes.
