This event was attended by 200 delegates comprising of eminent Politicians, Doctors, Press & Socialities. The Program was organised by Dr. Sunil Prakash, Director Nephrology at BLK Super Speciality Hospital. The chief guests included 2 senior ministers, 2 members of parliament, International level cricketers and senior beurocrats – Government of India. All eminent speakers emphasised the importance of being physically active and prevent obesity right from childhood onwards. National and International statistics showing a strong association between metabolic diseases and kidney failure were highlighted. Diet, exercise and practical weight reducing plans were showcased. The motto was eat less, walk more. 7S – Salt, Sugar, Stress, Smoke, Sedentary life, Spirits and Sleep lack were highlighted as major causes of the epidemic of reno cardiac diseases.
