We have organised a 2-day celebration of World Kidney Day 2024 in University Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It started off with an opening ceremony from hospital administrators, followed by a variety of activities to increase awareness of healthcare workers on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). On the second day of the event, a series of seminars, games and interactive activities were targeted to hospital staff, nursing students and healthcare workers. The climax of the event is perhaps entitled ‘Battle of the Kitchen’, in which participants are required to choose a variety of food and ingredients to prepare diets which are suitable for CKD patients.
