A Press Conference will be given with short lectures aimed to inform both physicians and the public about the prevalence of kidney diseases in children and the current understanding of the pathogenesis of the most common forms. Moreover, a particular emphasis will be given to the great importance of prevention and early treatment of these diseases in order to reduce the burden of chronic kidney disease in this patient population and its associated comorbidities.
