Institute of liver and biliary sciences has organized an awareness program and free health checkup camp for general public on occasion of world kidney day . The focus of this year program was women & kidney health and organ donation.
Program had a great success as general public had participated enthusiastically.
awareness lectures on women health and kidneys ,were delivered by renowned nephrologist Dr Rajendra prasad mathur and Dr A S Ahlawat . Director notto Dr Vimal bhandari also delivered a wonderful lecture to increase awareness about deceased organ donation , how a deceased person’s family can save multiple lives by donating their beloved’s organ. A young living donor who has given his kidney to his younger sister recently , has also given an encouraging talk on living organ donation and share his experience as a donor. Patients also shared their experience after Transplant and life on dialysis. A cultural event was also organised ,in which dialysis patients were participated with great enthusiam.
