The main celebration will be held in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Free public screening for kidney disease will be held on the central Ban Jelacic square, along with public lectures and water drinking competition (Drink an glass of water, encourage your friends to do the same and pin your photo to Facebook). Furthermore, distinguished members of Croatian Society for Nephrology will meet members of Croatian Government and the Parliament stressing their role in controlling the epidemic of CKD. On 13th of March scientific seminar “An update on CKD, dialysis and transplantation” will be held in Croatian Medical Council. Similar public initiatives will be held in all bigger cities of Croatia (Rijeka, Osijek, Split, Cakovec, Sibenik etc.)
