World Kidney Day at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos Nigeria

In an effort to promote kidney health awareness, offer informative education and resources, and encourage proactive measures for maintaining healthy kidneys, St. Nicholas Hospital is organizing a lecture by our Nephrologist, Dr. Ebun Bamgboye, including free kidney health check-ups for the people of our community at Lagos Island provided by our medical experts.

Theme: “Kidney Health for All – Advancing Equitable Access to Care and Optimal Medication Practice”

Aim: To raise awareness about kidney health, provide valuable education and resources and empower individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining healthy kidneys.

Free kidney Health Screening by Medical Experts:
St. Nicholas Hospital team of lab scientists, nurses, doctors, and pharmacists will conduct free health screenings for attendees. The screenings will include tests for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, kidney function, and general health assessments. Participants will receive personalized advice and recommendations based on their screening results.

Health Talk on Preventing Kidney Failures by Dr. Ebun Bamgboye:
Dr. Ebun Bamgboye will deliver an informative session on preventing kidney failures, covering topics such as lifestyle factors, diet, and early detection. The talk aims to raise awareness and educate attendees on maintaining kidney health. Also, diving deep to address kidney transplants which has been one of the solutions for ESKD, being done for over 25 years in Nigeria at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos.
