The Kidney Foundation’s annual digital fundraising campaign – the SixDegreeChallenge – is all about raising awareness of the connections we ALL have to kidney disease and raises crucial funds to support investments in research, education, and programs. Canadians don’t know how vital their kidneys are to their overall health and the dramatic health challenges one experiences if their kidneys don’t function. This campaign will help bring kidney disease out of the dark, so that all Canadians understand how important the kidney is.
From March 1st through 11th, we’re raising some noise on social media. We’re asking our kidney community to share their connections to kidney disease on their favourite social feeds. By featuring your connection to kidney disease during the campaign, your story will inspire your friends, family, neighbours and co-works to reflect on their degree of connection.
How you can take part:
Take a photo of yourself holding up six fingers and tell everyone about #SixDegreeChallenge
Post your pic on your favourite social channels. Use #SixDegreeChallenge and share how kidney disease impacts you.
Tag six of people (family, friends, co-workers) to help spread awareness of kidney disease
