The Kidney Foundation of Canada in partnership with the Kidney Health Strategic Clinical Network and Alberta Kidney Care will be hosting two free information sessions for the public on Thursday, March 14, 2019 during Alberta Kidney Days in Calgary.
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Living Well with Kidney Disease: The afternoon will focus on managing and coping with issues related to dialysis. Some topics include; living well on dialysis, exercise, medications, resources, complementary therapies, home life and intimacy, working on dialysis, and more.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Living Kidney Donor Information Panel: The evening a panel will discus living Organ Donation. Anyone considering becoming a living donor, or patients who are transplant eligible are invited to our expert panel discussion. Patients are encouraged to bring potential donors and ask questions. Some topics include; what is living organ donation, how to apply, tests, recovery, financial support, resources, risks, finding a donor, and more.
