The Albanian Society of Nephrology, with the President of Society Prof. Myftar Barbullushi, in collaboration with the University of Medicine, and Viatris Company are organizing “ALBANIAN RENAL ACADEMY” in Tirana, 10 March 2022, with the Topic (Hypertension and dyslipidemia)
The main purpose of the event is to increase awareness and knowledge of the medical environment, junior MEs and health care professionals to the importance of Kidney and Cardiovascular disease. Highlighting the burden, issue and challenges in early diagnose, management and long term follow up on Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, increase discussion on end stage renal disease, ASCVD, cardio-renal cycle, the role of LDL and LP (a) on proper management of renal patients disorders, referring system and recommendation between nephrologists, cardiologists, general practitioner.
KOls and speakers, their presentation will be focus on:
– The epidemiology and data on Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, ACSVD and dyslipidemia.
– Diagnose and treatment protocols on Hypertension in CKD and ASCVD.
– Diagnose and treatment of LDL and LP (a), latest update from EU guidelines.
– The proper evaluation of disease score and risk management.
– Co-Morbidity GN & ACVSD – cardio-renal cycle
– Lipid abnormalities and metabolic disorders related to atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
The academy will take place in hybrid format.
In the framework of the awareness on the World Kidney Day, we have prepared some glasses with the logo of WKD, pens with the logo of WKD and some dossier for materials which will be distributed to the present participants.
