A Symposium regarding Organ Donation and Transplantation Research in Uppsala will be held the day before World Kidney Day. Speakers representing Uppsala University Hospital, Uppsala University, Karolinska Instutitet, International Society of Nephrology and the organisation Mer organdonation will give their views on the importance of organ donation and current research in the field.
Prince Daniel of Sweden, who himself underwent a live donor kidney transplant in 2009, will attend to the symposium and give his own thoughts on the importance of organ donation.
