Join us in honoring David Rush, a hip-hop artist and committed advocate for kidney disease research, and the 850 million people worldwide affected by kidney disease. David’s journey with kidney disease began with a subtle but telling symptom – his inability to wear his favorite vibrant socks due to swelling, a key part of his unique style. However, after his kidney transplant, the simple act of wearing these socks again symbolized his recovery and reignited his fashion passion, starting from his feet.

In solidarity with David and others battling kidney disease, we’re showcasing our socks to bring attention to kidney health for all. Let’s raise awareness together!

How You Can Participate
1. Mark your calendar for March 14th to join in! On this day, put on your most vibrant, eye-catching socks.
2. Capture a photo of your socks, whether alone or as a pair.
3. Upload your picture to Instagram or X, use the hashtags #SockItToKidneyDisease and #WorldKidneyDay, and don’t forget to tag @NU_Nephrology.
