On March 10, 2016, World Kidney Day at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg, PA will be held to educate and raise awareness in the public of the importance of kidneys to overall health, and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. Screenings include blood pressure, familial and lifestyle risk factors, and body mass index – all of which play a vital role in the onset of kidney disease. Health-related professional organizations will be provided tables to display their educational materials and perform screenings.
