Kidney Foundation Hospital and Research Institute is going to celebrate World Kidney Day 2021 with the theme of ‘Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere – Living Well with Kidney Disease’.
This year Kidney Foundation has organized a seminar in capital city on how to stay well with kidney disease. All participants will be wearing mask, cap and special T-shirt with WKD logo and will follow precautionary measures. In this seminar, patients with kidney diseases who are on different renal replacement therapies like haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or renal transplant will talk on different aspects of their daily living and will give important tips on how to cope well. This seminar will be broadcasted by different television channels of Bangladesh.
To raise awareness, Kidney Foundation has organized similar seminar in a divisional city called Sylhet and also in a rural setting of Bonogram, Pabna including healthcare professionals and general people.
In addition Kidney Foundation has declared that on World Kidney Day all kidney specialists at Kidney Foundation Hospital will consult all patients at a reduced rate of 1.2 dollar per patient.
Also Prof. Harun Ur Rashid, Chairman and Founder of Kidney Foundation wrote an article in Bengali for general people on different aspects of Kidney health, which is going to be published in a national newspaper before 11th march, 2021.
