The Lakeridge Health Nephrology Program and the Nephrology Patient and Family Advisory Council are hosting several events throughout Lakeridge Health to create awareness and celebrate World Kidney Day 2015. Events include: information booths in Oshawa and Whitby; email blasts about kidney health to all Lakeridge Health staff; graduation ceremony for home dialysis patients from 2014/2015; digital and print signage throughout Lakeridge Health with World Kidney Day information; and a dialysis funding announcement in association with the Lakeridge Health Foundation. This is the first year we have celebrated World Kidney Day and we are hoping to make it an annual awareness campaign. Events will be taking place at both our Lakeridge Health Whitby and Lakeridge Health Oshawa sites.
