Held every year in March, which is National Kidney Month, World Kidney Day is a time to raise awareness for kidney disease nationwide and encourage people to get screened for kidney disease and its two main causes: high blood pressure and diabetes. On this day, the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois calls on every American to protect their kidneys by learning about kidney disease and how they can reduce their risk. Every year the KidneyMobile® hosts a free comprehensive screening, and everyone is invited to attend.
