Kidney disease is the 11th leading cause of death globally. Excessive annual growth of kidney diseases represents health burden and creates health care challenge for governments, particularly in low and middle income countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease and diabetes influence cause and a consequence of kidney diseases.. Discussion about NCDs and how they influence each other has been very poor globaly. Therefore, we need to priorities NCDs, with an accent kidney diseases and requires, also decisions by key stake holders. United Nations high-level meeting on NCDs in 2018 has inluenced creating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda, a platform for raising awareness of NCD health care and monitoring needs. Specific action on kidney disease should become integral to the global policy response. Therefore, universal health coverage (UHC) for prevention and early treatment of kidney disease should become ultimate goal of every stake holders policy and also, to promote population health by ensuring universal, sustainable and equitable access to essential healthcare of high quality, protecting people from health impoverishment and improving equity in health across socioeconomic groups.
