“For a healthy Kidney” Scientific awareness activity on the World Kidney Day, Tirana Albania, 11 March 2021- “ PËR NJË VESHKË TË SHËNDETSHME“ EVENT SHKENCOR NDERGJEGJESUES NE DITEN BOTERORE TE VESHKES 11 Mars 2021, Tirana, Albania

In the framework of the development of awareness activities on the World Kidney Day, this hybrid scientific activity will be developed with the participation of nephrologists and family doctors. Presentations, discussions, comments from all parties involved in the patients’ journey, including the difficult period of the pandemic, with the aim of better management of Chronic Kidney Disease (SKV). About 1 in 10 people have a SKV grade. It can develop at any age and various pathologies can lead to SKV. Kidney disease can affect people of all ages and races. Early diagnosis and treatment can slow the progression of the disease, reduce the risk of concomitant diseases such as heart disease, etc., and improve quality of life by increasing focus and lifestyle care. The purpose of the activity is to raise awareness and disseminate informational messages on following up and improving the lives of these patients. The participants in the activity will be updated with the latest news regarding diseases, treatment and diagnosis guidelines through referrals of four lecturers Prof. Alma Idrizi, Prof. Myftar Barbullushi, Prof. Margarita Gjata and Prof. Ass. Ariana Strakosha. The event will be hybrid where some participants will have the opportunity to connect online through the Microsoft Teams platform. In the framework of the awareness on the World Kidney Day, we have prepared some informative postcards and pins which will be distributed to the present participants but also to the outpatient doctors who will follow the online activity.
