WORLD KIDNEY DAY 2024 (DITA BOTËRORE E VESHKËS 2024)

 

REPORT

 

World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on the second Thursday of March. This year the WKD campaign and conference were organized by the Kosova Nephrologists Society and was supported by the Municipality of Prishtina, the capital city of Kosova.

 

The awareness campaign was organized in George Bush Square in the capital city Prishtina, nephrologists, specialists and nephrology nurses gathered, a stand was organized to distribute water and tom promote helathy life style for healthy kidney, pamphlets, surveys, t-shirts with the WKD logo were also given to citizens and pupils.

 

The children of the “Faik Konica” and “Naim Frasheri” primary schools were part of the campaign organized by the Municipality of Prishtina and accompanied by the principals of the schools in question and the teachers were part of the run organized in the square in honor of World Kidney Day 2024, in this campaign professors from Turkey Prof. Ulkem Cakir and Prof. Ibrahim Berber where present.

 

After this point and the statements for the media present at the square, the doctors went to the hall of the Kino Armata pre-arranged by Kosova Nephrologists society and the Municipality of Prishtina.

 

In the scientific conference according to the program accredited by OMO, the opening and speeches of the occasion were held, the director of SHSKUK Mr. Elvir Azizi was present, the lectures were presented as follows:

 

The conference was attended by 50 participants, 300 participants were welcomed in the awareness campaign 200 students and citizens took part in the run.

 

World Kidney Day 2024 also received the attention of the Kosovo Radio and Television media.
