In line with its new strategic plan, the Irish Kidney Association is broadening its remit beyond supporting people living with end stage kidney disease to now also include Chronic Kidney Disease. We are partnering with the National Renal Office to educate the public about the importance of early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease – particularly amongst people with diabetes, people with hypertension and people with cardiovascular disease. We are also producing some materials aimed at health care professionals to again shine a light on the importance of monitoring kidney health in the overall care of people with diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
