Chef Aaron McCargo, Jr., sponsored by Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), is embarking on a tour of four U.S. cities during March in recognition of National Kidney Month. McCargo will share kidney-friendly cooking tips, food samples and recipes with dialysis patients and their families at three Birmingham FMCNA dialysis clinics and a local hospital. He also will unveil a recipe he created for Birmingham food enthusiasts, influenced by the region’s own cuisine.
On Tuesday, March 19, McCargo will be at the Birmingham Central FMCNA facility (708 Cotton Ave. S.W.) from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. He will be at Princeton Baptist Medical Center (701 Princeton Ave. S.W.) from 2 – 4 p.m.
On Wednesday, March 20, McCargo will be at the Midfield FMCNA facility (613 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield) from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. He will be at the Birmingham Home FMCNA facility (35 W. Lakeshore Drive, Suite 105) from 1 – 3 p.m. The Alabama Kidney Foundation will be offering free kidney health screenings at the Birmingham Home event.
