On March 14, 2013 is celebrated on World Kidney Day an annual event created by the International Society of Nephrology and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations. This year in Brazil and the world will be performed various mobilization campaigns to educate and warn people about the importance of the Prevention of Acute Kidney Aggression.
On 14 and 15 March, from 9h to 17h, the Kidney Foundation Pro-Sesc and Paraná, will perform a wide Campaign for the Prevention of Renal Disease in Praça Rui Barbosa, with guidance on the topic, free for limited community with passwords.
The theme of the 2013 campaign “STOP. The Assault on Acute Kidney. “Aims to educate and raise awareness in the community about the Prevention of Aggression on Acute Kidney, acute insult which can cause rapid loss of renal function, including: decreased urine production and elimination of toxins, consequently there is an accumulation of impurities and liquids that compromise the health and well being. Examples of prevention for this case, advise on self-medication, especially with the use of anti-inflammatory – for Kidney Patients, examinations with contrast, dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting or low water intake, poisoning animals like snakes, caterpillars, spiders, bees, etc. and generalized infections such as infection, leptospirosis, malaria and dengue.
Continuing the annual program of prevention, with the official sponsorship of the Regional SESC, the Kidney Foundation Pro-place during the year 2013, Campaign for Prevention of Kidney Disease and some units of the SESC to the community some of the poorest neighborhoods.
There will also be educational campaigns focused on Prevention of Renal Disease in partnership with public and private institutions in order to mobilize the community of Curitiba and Paraná.
The realization of this annual event and other actions are possible thanks to institutions like the Regional Sesc – PR practicing social responsibility to the community.

No dia 14 de março de 2013 é comemorado o Dia Mundial do Rim um evento anual, criado pela Sociedade Internacional de Nefrologia e a Federação Internacional de Fundações do Rim. Este ano no Brasil e no mundo serão realizadas diversas campanhas de mobilização para conscientizar e alertar a população sobre a importância da Prevenção da Agressão Aguda aos Rins.
Nos dias 14 e 15 de março, das 9h às 17h, a Fundação Pró-Renal e o Sesc Paraná, irão realizar uma grande Campanha de Prevenção à Doença Renal na Praça Rui Barbosa, com orientações sobre o tema, gratuitamente para comunidade com senhas limitadas.
O tema da campanha 2013 “PARE. A Agressão Aguda aos Rins.” tem como objetivo educar e conscientizar a comunidade sobre a Prevenção da Agressão Aguda aos Rins, insulto agudo que pode causar perda rápida da função renal, que inclui: a diminuição da produção de urina e da eliminação das toxinas, consequentemente ocorre acúmulo de impurezas e líquidos que comprometem a saúde e o bem estar. Como exemplos de prevenção para este caso, alertamos sobre a automedicação, especialmente com o uso de anti-inflamatórios – para Pacientes Renais, exames com contraste, desidratação causada por diarréia, vômito ou pouca ingestão de água, envenenamento por animais como cobras, lagartas, aranhas, abelhas, etc. e infecções como infecção generalizada, leptospirose, malária e dengue.
Em continuidade ao programa anual de Prevenção, com o patrocínio oficial do Sesc Regional, a Fundação Pró-Renal realizará durante o ano de 2013, Campanhas de Prevenção à Doença Renal para algumas unidades do SESC e para a comunidade de alguns bairros mais carentes.
Também serão realizadas campanhas educativas com foco na Prevenção à Doença Renal em parceria com instituições públicas e privadas com objetivo de mobilizar a comunidade de Curitiba e do Paraná.
A realização deste evento anual e demais ações só são possíveis graças a instituições como o Sesc Regional – PR que pratica a responsabilidade social para com a comunidade.
