Anatolia Kidney Foundation organized a World Kidney Day Meeting at Ufuk University Medical School. This organization brought about huge approvals. The scientific activities were organized in cooperation with Ufuk university. The meeting started with a speech of Prof. Ayla SAN, M.D., (President of Anatolia Kidney Foundation) about the history of World Kidney Day and our World Kidney Day activities in the last eight years. She presented “Our Hospitals Throughout History” slide show. Ali Akcay M.D. talked about New Insights on Acute Kidney Injury. Galip Güz M.D. gave speech about Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Renal Failure. The other subjects were General Evaluation of Published Cases of Acute Renal Failure (by Ayla San M.D.) and Case Presentations (by Beril Akman M.D.). Round Table included Approaches to Acute Kidney Injury in Intensive Care Units (by Yakup Ekmekci M.D.), In Emergency Units (by Başol Canbakan M.D.), In Natural Disasters (by İhsan Ergün M.D., After Surgical Operation (by Fatih Dede M.D.), In Drugs and Contrast Agent Usage (by Tayfun Eyileten M.D.). We arranged also a photograph exhibition on Our Hospitals Throughout History and a cocktail accompanied with music by an org player. Exhibition’s photos were selected by Prof. Ayla SAN M.D. and Prof. Adnan Atac M.D. and some photos were taken by themselves. Our Other Activities were enlightment on Acute Kidney Injury to the public, measurement of blood sugar at stands, questionnaire given to the public at CEPA and KENTPARK Malls.
