World Kidney Day 2013 was celebrated by Dr. Rajan Ravichandran, Chairman of Sapiens Health Foundation (Chennai, India) on 12th March 2013. The function was attended by both distinguished guests and Indian press / Media. A detailed talk was given on the agenda of this years WKD i.e “Acute Kidney Injury”. A video depicting AKI effects was released by the chief guest of the event, actor Arvind Swamy. Two booklets on kidney i.e English and Tamil were also relased by guests of honour. The event was widely covered in both English and Indian vernacular languages on next two days i.e 13th and 14th of March.
