Post Graduate Medical Society Batu Pahat in collaboration with Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail Batu Pahat are organising a World Kidney Day 2023 Carnival for Johor state level in Batu Pahat on the 11th of March 2023.
The event will start off with 2KM and 5KM outdoor fun run around Batu Pahat mall for the general public as well as patients with kidney diseases and their family members in the morning. The noon session is moved indoors to the Batu Pahat mall with loads of activities to follow. There will be public talks and sharing sessions by patient with kidney disease, as well as renal dietician and nephrologist. To make the event merrier, there will be local traditional dance by school children (tarian Zapin) and street magic show. Event booths surrounding the central stage include teams from organ transplantation, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, dietetic services, pharmacy services and health screening activities for the general public to participate. We have also included a blood donation drive in conjunction with the World Kidney Day celebration.
The carnival promises to be an exciting, fun-filled event for the public in the state of Johor, Malaysia. We aim to improve awareness among the general public on kidney diseases and management, as well as showcase the integration of our kidney disease patients back into society!
