World Kidney Day 2026

The World Kidney Day 2026 Celebration, organized by The Uswag Iloilo Dialysis Center in collaboration with the Iloilo City Health Office and East Baluarte barangay officials, took place on March 18, 2026, at the Uswag Multi-Purpose Hall. This significant event was spearheaded by Dr. Marie Hazel Ivy Mueño, a dedicated nephrologist, and supported by medical officers Dr. Jona Mae Soldevilla and Dr. Jed Christian Santiago.

The celebration aimed to raise awareness about kidney health, promote the importance of early detection and prevention of kidney diseases, and highlight the ongoing efforts in women’s health during National Women’s Month. Activities included informative talks, free health screenings, interactive discussions on kidney health and lifestyle choices, and community engagement initiatives.

Attendees were encouraged to participate in educational talks and share personal stories, fostering a supportive environment for patients and families affected by kidney disease. The event successfully combined health awareness with community partnership, highlighting the commitment of local healthcare providers to improve public health education and access to kidney care.
