All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) marked World Kidney Day
2025 with an impactful event organized by the Department of Nephrology, AIIMS Bilaspur, in
collaboration with the Society for Kidney Care.
Prof. (Dr.) D.N. Sharma, Executive Director, AIIMS Bilaspur, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
Faculty, residents, nursing, and paramedical staff actively participated.
Dr. Sanjay Vikrant, Professor and head of the Department of Nephrology, emphasized this year’s theme:
“Are Your Kidneys OK? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health,” highlighting the importance of early
detection and prevention of kidney diseases.
B.Sc. (DTT) 2023 batch students delivered a thought-provoking skit to raise awareness about kidney
health among patients and the general public. A poster competition was held for students showcasing
creative expressions of kidney health awareness.
