In celebration of world kidney day, we will be doing educational activities for patients in the Sona district, Veraguas province (Panama).
1. Radio promotion:
• We will participate in morning programs on local radio on March 11 and 12, to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis of chronic kidney disease.
2. Promotion with videos:
We create educational content in videos about the importance of the care and monitoring of patients with kidney diseases. The videos will be screened in the waiting rooms of the hospital and in the hemodialysis unit, focusing on the following topics:
• Nutritional control for dialysis patients (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis)
• Importance of weight control
• Blood pressure monitoring
• General care of diabetes mellitus
• Initiation of renal replacement therapies myths vs reality
**COVID 19 and the impact on kidney health
3. Delivery of promotional material:
• Keeping the established security measures, we will deliver promotional material on chronic kidney disease.
4. Instagram LIVE:
We will participate in an Instagram live, dedicated to the theme of Living well with kidney disease, with the collaboration of a private practice clinic.
