Point of care testing for the public

Location

Queen Alexandra Hospita, Southwick Hill Road, Cosham, Portsmouth, UK

Date of event

March 13, 2025 9:00

We are running two World Kidney Day events, one at Southampton General Hospital and one at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, UK on World Kidney day 13th March from 9am – 4pm (GMT). MyRenalCare in partnership with our partners NovaBiomedical, Kidney Care UK and the Wessex Kidney Centre, will be encouraging members of the public to take Kidney Care UK’s kidney quiz to learn whether they are at high risk of Kidney Disease. We will also be offering point of care kidney screening for free using the NovaMax pro device, which is a fingers prick test that gives instant creatinine and eGFR results.

The aims of the event are:

1. Raise awareness of the importance of kidneys to the general public

2. Identify people at risk of CKD

3. Show case a transformational approach to diagnosing and managing CKD. Starting with targeted point of care testing in the community using Nova Max Pro, coupled with remote rapid up-titration and optimisation of medication using MyRenalCare.

We are supporting World Kidney Day since at MyRenalCare we are passionate about improving the lives of those with CKD. We wanted to do more than than just raise awareness. We wanted to take action and actually help diagnose people with CKD, and provide a transformational approach to managing CKD that is highly efficient, effective and scalable globally!
