We shall be offering free kidney disease screening to citizens and free specialist consultations (Nephrology, Urology, On site Ultrasound, Cardiology with onsite echocardiography, nutrition counselling, covid testing and vaccination, HIV testing, and class room style kidney health education). We shall have onsite Q and A for visitors on kidney health awareness and WKD T-shirts will be awarded to deserving citizens.
On Friday the 4th of March 2022, the Ministry of health held a half day meeting with journalists, media editors and media houses to discuss the theme for WKD 2022, the focus of Tanzania’s 2022 national kidney health week events and ways in which the media could join the efforts to prevent and control chronic kidney disease.
There will be a figo marathon on the 12 of November 2022 to raise the awareness of chronic kidney disease, raise money to support chronic kidney disease and encourage kidney disease prevention.
