Help Kevin the Kidney join the dots for Kidney Health

People on dialysis make 700,000 journeys to and from dialysis units every year.

To mark World Kidney Day 2025, the renal unit in Tallaght University Hospital have set up a country wide challenge for staff, patients and families to get involved in. The aim is to “Join the dots for Kidney Health” by cumulatively travelling the distance between the 25 dialysis units around the country. This can involve running, walking or cycling and will be logged via www.activetravellogger.ie. We will share the total distance over the day and show how far Kevin the Kidney has travelled. 

There will be an information stand for staff, patients and visitors on the day with interactive games, quizzes and resources to get them thinking about their kidney health, asking the question “are your kidneys ok?”.
